Povlja

About 393 people live in Povlja today. They still fish, grow olives and grapes, and make wine just as their ancestors did for so many centuries before but they see their future in tourism.

Today, the main industries in Povlja are fishing, quarrying, olive growing and, of course, tourism.

The modesty, simplicity and hospitality of the local population, its fresh seafood, local cuisine and good wine, make this a unique Mediterranean experience.
